Several months ago, Johanna Montiero of the Vintage Marina office staff had helped our family temporarily switch to a better slip for our Beneteau First 36.7 sailboat. Later, Johanna found a slightly smaller slip (at a lower monthly rental) which allowed better docking and proximity to the shore.
The day before the last day of the month, I was planning to move the boat by myself into new slip before driving back that afternoon to our home for several weeks until our whole family’s next visit. As Murphy’s Law would have it, the weather forecast for the day changed to 38 knots of wind with gusts past 40 – – not ideal for a guy singlehandedly moving a 36 foot boat under power.
So I went to the Vintage Marina office and asked whether they could assist me. Johanna worked with the office manager and said help would be waiting at the appointed hour. Johanna exceeded my expectations and had six of the Vintage team members waiting around the new slip as I came in (as gently as possible)!
